Dear Residents and Stakeholders,
We are pleased to announce the establishment of the Georgetown Police Accountability Committee (GPAC), aimed at fostering transparency, community engagement, and accountability within the Georgetown Police Department.
The inaugural meeting of the GPAC will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at the Georgetown Town Hall, 39 The Circle, Georgetown, Delaware. The meeting will commence at 6:00pm.
The primary purpose of the PAC is to provide valuable advice to our police department on policy, training, and other pertinent issues that impact both the community and our department. By engaging in open communication and collaboration, our goal is to ensure that our law enforcement agency effectively meets the needs and expectations of our diverse community.
During the inaugural meeting, we will introduce committee members, outline our objectives, and discuss the framework for future engagements. We encourage active participation from residents, community leaders, and stakeholders as we embark on this important journey together.
Your input and involvement are crucial to the success of this endeavor. We look forward to your attendance and meaningful contributions to the GPAC.
